Pyramid Solitaire

Pair cards that add up to 13 and take the pyramid apart.

About Pyramid Solitaire

A different kind of solitaire: no sequences, just sums. Remove pairs of uncovered cards that add to thirteen — Ace is 1, Jack 11, Queen 12, and a King is 13 all by itself. Only cards with nothing on top are in play, so the order you clear in decides whether the pyramid falls. A limited number of passes through the stock keeps it honest.

How to Play

Tap two open cards that add to 13 (A=1, J=11, Q=12; K goes alone). A card is open when nothing overlaps it. Draw from the stock when stuck — passes are limited.

💡 Tips & Strategy

Kings clear alone, so play them the moment they are exposed.

Before pairing a pyramid card with a waste card, check whether a pyramid-pyramid pair exists — those remove two blockers at once.

Count your passes. With limited trips through the stock, the order you draw in decides the game; sometimes it is right to leave a pair unmade until a better partner appears.
