About Solitaire

The most-played card game in computer history. Draw from the stock when you are stuck, and use the undo button when you change your mind.

How to Play

Build tableau columns downward in alternating colors (red on black, black on red). Send cards to the four foundations in suit order, Ace up to King. Tap the stock pile to draw. Double-tap a card to auto-send it to a foundation.

💡 Tips & Strategy

Winning Klondike consistently is about information: every face-down card you flip is progress, so prioritize moves that reveal hidden cards over moves that merely look tidy. When two columns offer a flip, work the longer face-down pile first — it hides more of the deck.

Don't rush cards to the foundations. Low cards (aces and twos) should go up immediately, but keeping a 3 or 4 in play often lets you tuck other cards beneath it later. A good rule: only send a card up if both cards of the opposite color one rank below are already accounted for.

Empty columns are the strongest resource in the game — but only for kings. Before you clear a column, make sure a useful king (ideally one with a playable queen behind it) is ready to take the space. An empty column with no king available is wasted tempo.

When choosing between a red or black king for a space, look ahead: pick the color whose queen and jack you can actually see. And use undo without guilt — replaying a decision after seeing what the stock holds is how experienced players push win rates above 40%.
