About Gin Rummy
The two-player rummy classic. Build your ten cards into melds -- runs of the same suit or sets of the same rank -- and cut your leftover deadwood down to ten or less to knock. Get every card melded and you have Gin for a fat bonus. Reading the discard pile and knowing when to knock is the whole game.
How to Play
Each turn: draw from the stock or the discard, then discard one card.\nForm runs (7-8-9 of a suit) and sets (three or four of a kind).\nKnock when your unmatched cards total 10 or less -- or go for Gin (zero deadwood) for the biggest bonus. First to 100 wins.
💡 Tips & Strategy
Watch what your opponent takes from the discard pile -- it tells you exactly which melds they\'re building, so stop feeding those suits and ranks.
Middle cards (5,6,7) are worth keeping early because they complete more runs than edge cards.
Don\'t chase Gin blindly. If your deadwood is already low and your opponent looks close, knocking early to lock in points beats risking an undercut.
Late in the hand, discard high cards you can\'t use -- if you get caught with them, they\'re the points your opponent scores off you.
