About Hearts
The card game of careful avoidance. Across four players you want the FEWEST points: every heart is worth one and the Queen of Spades a nasty thirteen. Pass three cards each hand, follow suit, and try to duck the tricks that hurt -- unless you are bold enough to shoot the moon and take them all. First to 100 loses, so low is the goal.
How to Play
Pass three cards, then follow the led suit if you can.\nHearts and the Queen of Spades give penalty points -- avoid winning tricks that contain them.\nLowest score wins. Take ALL the penalties in one hand to shoot the moon and score against everyone else instead.
💡 Tips & Strategy
Count the high spades. If you don\'t hold the Ace or King of spades, you can safely lead spades to flush out the Queen before it lands on you.
Use the pass to shed dangerous cards -- the Queen of Spades, the Ace and King of Hearts, and any lone high card in a suit.
Voiding a suit early lets you dump hearts on other players\' tricks. But don\'t over-commit: if you take one heart while going for the moon, you\'ve handed everyone a gift.
Late in a hand, track which penalty cards are still out. Leading a low card in a suit others have run out of is how you dodge the last few tricks.
