About Golf Solitaire
The quickest solitaire in the pack. Seven columns of five face-up cards sit above a stock and a waste pile; play any exposed card that is one rank higher or lower than the top of the waste, and keep the chain going as long as you can. Kings are dead ends, so time your draws carefully. A full clear is rare enough to feel like a hole in one.
How to Play
Tap any bottom card that is one rank above or below the waste card (e.g. 7 on an 8, or 9). No wrapping — nothing plays on a King, and an Ace only takes a 2. Tap the stock to flip a new waste card when you are stuck. Clear all 35 cards to win.
💡 Tips & Strategy
Before you play a card, look at what it exposes. A move that uncovers a card you can play next keeps the run alive; a move that uncovers nothing useful ends it, and every run you start costs a stock card.
Work the long columns early. A column of five hides more potential blockers than a column of two, and empty columns are worth nothing in Golf, so there is no reason to clear a short column first.
Kings are dead ends: nothing plays on them and they only leave through a Queen. If a King sits on top of a column, it stays until the waste shows a Queen, so plan the run that uncovers a Queen before you need it.
Draw from the stock only when no card on the board can play — the stock is limited, and a full clear almost always depends on stretching the last few runs as far as they will go.
