Solitaire-style building, head-to-head. First to dump their hand wins.
About Kings in the Corner
Half solitaire, half duel. Four piles sit around the draw deck and the four corners wait for Kings. You and Rex each hold seven cards and draw one at the start of every turn. Then play as many as you like: build down in alternating colours on any pile, drop Kings into the empty corners, shift a whole side pile onto another pile when its bottom card fits, and fill any empty side spot with whatever you want. First player to empty their hand wins and scores a point for every card the loser is still holding — Kings count ten.
How to Play
You draw a card at the start of each turn, then play as many as you can. Build down in alternating colours (red 7 on black 8). Kings go only into empty corners. Empty side piles take any card. Move a whole side pile if its bottom card fits another pile. Empty your hand first to win.
💡 Tips & Strategy
Play long, not greedy. Before laying anything, look for chains: a black 9, then a red 8, then a black 7 from your hand gets rid of three cards in one turn.
Move whole side piles when their bottom card fits elsewhere. It frees a side spot, and an empty side spot accepts any card — the perfect dump for an awkward card that would otherwise sit in your hand.
Get rid of Kings the moment a corner is free. They can only ever go into corners and count ten against you if Rex goes out first. Also think about what you leave open: a pile ending on a card Rex can easily build on hands him the tempo.
