Seven pieces, one silhouette, no leftovers.
About Tangram
The ancient Chinese dissection puzzle: seven flat pieces — five triangles, a square and one slippery parallelogram — that assemble into a fox, a runner, a boat, whatever the silhouette demands. All seven, every time, no overlaps. It looks like a children’s toy right up until a shape refuses you for ten straight minutes, and the parallelogram needs flipping and you KNOW it does. Hundreds of years old and still undefeated.
How to Play
Drag pieces into the outline — they snap when placed right. Tap a piece to rotate it 45°; double-tap the parallelogram to flip it. All seven pieces fit in every shape. Hint highlights one placement.
💡 Tips & Strategy
Place the two big triangles first. They cover half the silhouette between them, and every shape has only a couple of ways to seat them — the small pieces then fill what's left instead of blocking what's coming.
Hunt the right angles: a square corner in the outline takes either the square, a triangle's corner, or two triangles' edges meeting. Long straight edges want a triangle's hypotenuse laid flat.
If the last gap looks right but won't fill, it's the parallelogram — it is the only piece with a mirror image, so double-tap to flip it before rearranging everything else in frustration.
