How to Play
Use arrow keys (or swipe on mobile) to slide all tiles in one direction. Tiles with the same number merge when they collide. Reach the 2048 tile to win — the board fills up fast, so plan ahead!
💡 Tips & Strategy
The whole game comes down to one discipline: keep your biggest tile locked in a corner and never move it. Pick a corner (bottom-left is popular) and commit to using only three of the four directions — for a bottom-left corner, that means never swiping right unless the board forces it.
Build a 'snake': largest tile in the corner, next largest beside it, descending in order along the bottom row, then continuing back along the row above. When a new tile merges down the chain, it cascades — a single move can trigger three or four merges.
Keep your bottom row full at all times. A full anchor row makes your one forbidden direction safe when you're eventually forced to use it.
Don't chase every small merge. Random tiles spawn where you least want them, so make merges that pull value toward your corner and ignore ones that scatter it. When the board gets tight, slow down: count what each direction will actually do before swiping. Most lost games die to one careless swipe made on autopilot at move 200.
