🎴 Tile Pairs

Match the tiles — if a path with two bends can reach them.
About Tile Pairs
Mahjong solitaire’s sharper sibling. The tiles sit in a flat grid, and a pair only clears if you can join them with a path of at most three straight lines — two corners, no more — through empty space. The path is allowed to swing around the outside of the board, which rescues more pairs than you would think. Clear from the edges inward, because the pair you ignore now is the pair that walls itself in later.
How to Play
Tap two identical tiles to clear them. They must connect by a path of at most 3 straight segments through open space. The path may run outside the board. Hints, shuffles and undo are limited — spend them well.
💡 Tips & Strategy
Edges before centre, always. Border tiles have the open outside lanes and lose them as the board hollows unevenly — an interior pair can wait; a rim pair often can't.
Before clearing any pair, glance at the other copies of that tile. Taking the wrong two of four can strand the remaining two on opposite sides of a wall. If three are free, clear the two whose removal opens the most lanes.
Clear in a way that carves channels: straight corridors through the grid become path-space for everything else. Save hints and the shuffle for genuine dead ends — the shuffle is one bad layout away from being your last.
