Chess

The game of kings, against a computer that actually fights back.

About Chess

No introduction needed — sixty-four squares, thirty-two pieces, and every excuse you have ever made. Play the full game against the computer on three levels: Easy forgives, Medium punishes carelessness, and Hard will happily take your queen apart while you are still admiring your opening. Legal moves light up when you pick a piece, promotion is handled properly, and nobody is watching when it goes wrong.

How to Play

Tap a piece to see its legal moves, then tap a square (or just drag it). Standard rules — castling, en passant and promotion all work. Checkmate the computer’s king. Three difficulty levels in the top bar.

💡 Tips & Strategy

Develop before you attack. Knights and bishops out early, castle by move ten, and don't move the same piece twice in the opening without a reason — the computer punishes wasted turns by simply being ready first.

Before every move, ask what the engine's last move threatened. Most lost games on Easy and Medium come from answering your own plan instead of theirs.

Trade pieces when you are ahead in material and avoid trades when behind — a queen-for-queen swap helps whoever already has the extra pawn. And watch the back rank: a rook sliding to your home row ends more casual games than any brilliancy.
